Sponge Jet Cleaning in Kansas City

kansas city sponge jet cleaning from blast-it-clean

This method of cleaning requires the use of highly specialized equipment. The cost-effective use of this equipment requires the recycling of the sponge jet media. On projects that recycling of media is not practical this method of cleaning is not cost effective.

How it works:

  • On impact the sponge flattens out exposing the cleaning agent
  • The cleaning agent then “cuts” the undesired coating
  • As it leaves the substrate the sponge contracts creating a vacuum
  • Encapsulating the waste within the sponge keeping it from becoming airborne
  • The sponge jet media is then put through the recycler separating waste from the sponge
  • Sponge is then reused up to 10 times repeating the process

Key Benefits of the Sponge Jet Process:

  • Lower fugitive emissions
  • Enhanced visibility and first pass quality
  • High-quality surface preparation in sensitive or confined areas
  • A solution for preparing surfaces near finished coatings, instruments and equipment
  • Less pollution, waste generation, fines and reporting
  • The ability for other trades to work nearby
  • Less downtime, improved asset availability
  • Coatings perform longer, saving on maintenance costs
  • Easier staging, containment, ventilation and clean up
  • Less waste, disposal and material handling

Sponge Jet Cleaning is the world’s leader of clean, dry, low dust, reusable surface preparation media and equipment. This method is productive, equipment sensitive, worker friendly, and an environmentally conscious solution for any industry, application or surface preparation challenge.
