Level One: Torbo Blasting – This level allows the use of USDA/FDA approved blast media. The Torbo Blasting process is the equivalent of dust free sandblasting. Any media that is heavier than water can be utilized via this process. The unique pumping system contained in the Torbo Blast system allows the use of blast media that can remove coatings as well as creating new surface profiles that conform to the standards issued by the SSPC for coatings specifications. 

Level Two: Dry Ice Cleaning – This level is a USDA/FDA approved method of cleaning. It utilizes custom equipment and specially manufactured dry ice pellets to perform the cleaning and stripping. This form of cleaning does not introduce any outside contaminants into the plant environment.

Level Three: Baking Soda Cleaning – This level is a USDA/FDA approved method of cleaning. It utilizes custom equipment and specially formulated baking soda to perform the cleaning and stripping. Cleaning and stripping can be performed in production areas as well as other areas of the plant.

Level Four: Sponge Jet Cleaning – This method of cleaning requires the use of highly specialized equipment. The cost-effective use of this equipment requires that the recycling of the sponge jet media. On projects that recycling of media is not practical this method of cleaning is not cost effective.

Level Five: Specialty Media Blasting – This level requires the use of a specialized, custom media blast pot. These pots are not available on a rental basis. The knowledge and training required to successfully utilize this equipment is essential to the success on projects utilizing this method of cleaning and stripping.

Level Six: Traditional Sandblasting – This level requires an increased investment in equipment. There are fewer companies offering this type of service than in level one, but you are still exposed to contractors who are just starting out and renting the necessary equipment to perform the service. Contractors in this category are prone to make their solution fit your challenge, versus finding the correct solution for the challenge.

Level Seven: Power Washing – This is an entry-level category. The easy access to power washing equipment makes it so you can rent a machine, put a sign on your truck and declare yourself a power washing company.
