Dari Concepts, Inc. – Baking Soda Wadu Cleaning
The Dari Concepts plant in El Dorado Springs, Missouri converts cheese into powdered cheese. The plant experienced a fire inside a 30 foot diameter, four story stainless steel gravity flow dryer Bin. Attempts to clean the dryer Bin utilizing pressure washing did not produce a satisfactory result. The insurance carrier that handled Dari Concepts business interruption insurance needed a fast effective solution.
Blast-It-Clean was called upon to provide the cleaning solution. Multiple options were reviewed to restore the stainless steel tank. . The most cost effective was the use of a wet wash hot water blast with baking soda induction system (Wadu Cleaning). This process was able to restore the metal to pre-fire conditions cost effectively and within the timeline specified by the insurance carrier.
1.23 Fire Works of Kansas City – Baking Soda Wadu Cleaning
A basement fire in a high rise apartment facility overlooking the Kansas City Plaza left soot and char on the walls and ceiling of the boiler room. These surfaces needed to be cleaned for the health inspection. Blast-It-Clean utilized the Wadu Process to perform the cleaning. (High Pressure Hot Water with baking soda injection.) The walls ceilings and floors were cleaned to a like new condition.
1.24 Phoenix Restoration, Inc. – Dry Ice Cleaning
A fire occurred two weeks prior to the opening day of school, in the paint room of the Shawnee Mission School District Maintenance Facility. The fire damage had to be cleaned, but the remainder of the facility had to remain in operations while the restoration process took place. Due to the need for continued occupancy of the building, and the amount of non-damaged goods stored immediately adjacent to the damaged area, the use of traditional baking soda blasting was not an alternative. Dry Ice Cleaning was used to clean the structural steel, walls and surfaces of the fire-damaged areas. The cleanup process that would have required at least a week of hand cleaning was completed in two days.
